California Traffic Tickets Being Processed in Mexico
We’ve all heard about outsourcing and how many people believe that it is a practice that has been detrimental to the American worker. Big companies will always opt for the cheaper way of doing things. If they can fire a $100,000-a-year American engineer and hire a $20,000-a-year engineer from India, they are going to do it.
You’ve also probably noticed in recent years that there are fewer and fewer manufactured goods available on store shelves that are made here in the U.S.A. Does “Made in China” sound familiar? It certainly should.
It’s understandable that some people find fault with the outsourcing of American jobs and American manufacturing. That’s something we
have all been hearing about for a while now. But are you ready for the outsourcing of our legal system?
This recent article reveals a little secret that was recently exposed in California. According to the article, the Orange County Superior Court has been using a company in Nogales, Mexico to process traffic ticket data.
Now let’s be realistic here and not pretend that Mexico isn’t a country that is plagued by massive corruption at all levels of government. It’s easy to feel sorry for honest citizens of that country who have to live under conditions like that.
The author of the article in question surely seems to think this move on the part of the Orange County Superior Court is a bit ridiculous and I am certainly in agreement with that.
As if we don’t have enough to worry about from people here in the U.S. who want to steal our identity, now we have personal information being shipped off to a country where even the police and government officials cannot be trusted. Nice move, Orange County Superior Court!
